While growing up in Woodland, CA, Zoe started learning the trombone at age 9. Throughout grade school, she was fortunate to perform in all sorts of different groups such as the Norcal and Allstate honor bands as well as small jazz groups and pit orchestra for musical theatre. She was also given the amazing opportunities to perform in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Chicago Symphony Hall and the Lincoln Center. She received classical training in trombone at the California State University in Northridge and the University of Denver. While residing in Denver, she frequently performed with the orchestra, choir, and brass ensemble at the World Mission Society Church of God for worship services as well as charity concerts and volunteer events. She loves to teach the next generation of musicians and hopes to be as impactful to them as her teachers, who encouraged and inspired her.
