Piano | Saxophone

Miles Jackson
Schedule: Mon | Wed
Miles has been involved with music from the age of 7, starting on the piano before picking up the alto saxophone a few years later and becoming heavily involved with a wide variety of ensembles throughout middle school, high school, and college. Through numerous leadership positions within these ensembles and many opportunities to direct groups such as jazz combos and saxophone quartets, he has grown a strong appreciation for collaboration in music and an enthusiasm for sharing the joy of music with others. Miles has been taught by several exceptional instructors in classical and jazz, but he has also developed passions for many other types of music such as J-Pop, video game music, and progressive rock. Having recently graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Music (Composition Focus), Miles is excited to help others find as much joy in music as he does through focusing on his students’ own passions and goals while building a strong foundation that allows them to express themselves with confidence.
