Justin (Jay) Myers is a seasoned Musician, Composer, and Educator specializing in Marching Percussion, Rock, Neo-Soul, and Jazz. Hailing from South Carolina, he embarked on his musical journey at the tender age of 2, honing his drumming skills within the church community before venturing into a myriad of musical realms.

Jay furthered his musical education at The South Carolina Governor’s School for Arts and Humanities under the tutelage of Everett Beale (Boston Pops), immersing himself in the study of Music and Percussion history with meticulous attention to detail.

Recognized as a Vic Firth and Zildjian Artist, Jay holds the esteemed role of Captain of the Sacramento Kings Drumline and serves as the Percussionist for The Symphonia Phonotone Orchestra and the versatile band Cosmic Roots. His diverse expertise that spans across various genres, reflecting his passion for pushing musical boundaries and inspiring others through his artistry.

Jay’s wealth of experience and expertise uniquely positions him to guide and inspire his students on their own musical journeys. With a deep understanding of percussion history and a versatile skill set across multiple genres, Jay is dedicated to nurturing the talents of aspiring musicians, helping them unlock their potential and achieve their goals. His commitment to excellence and passion for music education make him a valuable mentor and role model for students of all levels.
